So I just finished reading JLA: Tower of Babel and Divided we Fall. It was interesting to see the process and fallout from Batman's "just in case files". What did suprise me, was Wonder Woman and Superman voting him out of the League. Especially Superman. He's the only one I see as closest to Batman outside of the Bat-world. That Kryptonite must have hurt him really bad.

Wasn't suprised about Aquaman, he's a lot like Hawkman and attitude. Plastic man...didn't Batman give him a second chance. Guess getting frozen soild and shattered changes some views.

The one thing that threw me was when Superman was trying to get Bats to come back. Batman was really mad at him. I couldn't understand why. I think I read back over it 3 times trying to figure out why Bats was upset. Then it clicked. Superman voted him out, but it was Superman who gave Batman the Kryptonite...just in case. If anyone should have understood his reasons for the files it should have been Superman.

Best part was when they revealed their identies to the league. Clark had the most goofy grin, you really wouldn't think he and Superman were one in the same.

I really enjoyed these two books, gald I bought them. I'm really getting deep into the world of DC. The slash side is pretty good too.

The new figures are out. They are smaller than the old flip head ones. Hope they release bigger ones. But just don't know with Disney. I mean come on why does the dragon dagger need a lightsaber extension...doesn't make any kind of sense.

only these and a couple of Goldars were left. People are definetly snatching them up.

I'm really sick of the weather here. It's either super cold or super hot. Nice days are rare. Now because of Ida, we've got non stop rain and high winds. Not just constant high winds, no it's a blast then nothing then another blast. Our base is flooded, we had to help sandbag, my cold is back, my dog is dumb, and I still have to go to work in the morning. Arrggg!!!

So first day of Nekocon has come and gone.  I'm going ahead and post before I forget everything. 

So got up at 9am and went to base to see if two of my co-workers were able to go, one couldn't.  So then I left to go pick up Megan. On the way there Kennedy called and said he was waiting at my apartment.  (Matt couldn't go so Kennedy was using his badge.) 

When me and Megan got there, we all got in my truck and went to Burger King for brunch. Then went back to my apartment to change.  Kennedy didn't want to cosplay so me and Megan were Ibu Shinji and Tezuka Kunimitsu from Prince of Tennis.

When we got there we mostly walked around, did see Shishido-san, but he was Sanada from Rikkai today. I didn't think about it till later, but we should've got a picture together. -_- my fail...

So more walking around filming people, then we decided to go to one of the video rooms.  They were playing something that was so clearly a paraody of Power Rangers.  It was so hilarious, they had colors like salmon pink and moss green.  And their attacks were so ridiculous...business card throw, nail filer...  Then we found out it was called Shinesman, so going to get it. 

We then watched one epsiode of Gokusen then went to the Dealers room.  Not much I wanted there.  NO POSTERS!!! So I'm defintely saving a ton of money this year.  I did find the Atobe figure I said I was going to get long time ago.  Couldn't find Tezuka though ;__; but at least I got Atobe.  Also bought a Yugioh doujinshi, Kaiba and Yami.  Actually YamixKaiba...Kaiba was so uke it was sad.  Bad choice on my part, I like when they are equals more. 

Something I've noticed while walking around...a lot of cops.  I don't recall anything serious happening last year, but this year we have a ton of cops, and we don't have to get our props peacebonded anymore....weird.  At first I thought they were cosplayers...heh heh

So around 5 Kennedy had to go, so me and Megan went backt to my apartment and changed, she did Rukia(bleach) and I did Kikumaru(PoT), had a lot of request for pics.  Met up with Sam later, still don't know what he was.  Hung out some more, then we split up.  Sam went to some panel(can't remember), Megan went to a video room, and I went to a bad Japanese music videos panel. 

The videos where so crazy, especially the ones by DJ OZMA(on youtube)his were just so strange.  But it was great especially the orginal video to the opening of Ouran Host Club, that one was adorable. 

So after those we went and ate some Chinese food, we saw Team Rocket there.  People kept coming up to and asking which Animes we were from, which was cool.  Then went back to my apartment and Megan changed to regular clothes. Went back to the con and I guess they went to the rave, but I went to the game room and DDR'd it up.  Around 12 me and Megan left for home.  Still so tired. Excited about tomorrow though.

Just got back from the theater.  Can I just say how much I love that man?  I really enjoyed the movie-documentary-rehearsal, whatever it was. 
I thought the Dangerous concert was amazing, but this one was going to be awesome.  I loved how they had the bits with the backup dancers and just all the interaction with Michael. 
He's so humble and nice even when he gets stern about what he wants.  And seeing him going through his songs.  How many people out there at 50 can still dance and sing like they did in their 20s?  It's just amazing to see. 
Gonna get the dvd soon as it comes out.  And I think I'm going to start learning his dances for my workouts now. 

By the way if you're not a fan don't bother seeing it, cause I don't see how anyone who's not could like it.

So I read the new chapters of Bleach and Naruto today.

Okay, so if Zaraki is going to continue to be stronger than Ichigo, why not send him to where Aizen is.  I mean the battle that actually counts.  But no, they send Ichigo, who is weaker than the #0 arrancar....I do not see the sense in this at all.   

And Naruto...I seriously was shocked at Sakura.  Seeing how she had matured, so did not expect her to flat out lie to Naruto like that.  Plus she looked down to the left, first sign of lying.  I really thought she would say something like, they have to do what's right and move on from Sasuke since he's too far gone now.  Guess that was just my wishing, since I can't stand the boy at all.  And I was starting to warm up to Sakura, now i'm back to being annoyed with her again. 


Been reading DC's Blackest Night series.  Of course there are like 20 other series I should have read before it, but didn't.  So I don't get everything that's going on.  But that's what forums and Wiki is for. 

The only thing I really want to see involves Batman.  This Black hand guy is carrying around supposedly Bruce's skull, using it to send black latern rings to the dead.  Why is he using his skull?  What's the connection between Bruce and all the other heroes and villians, besides him knowing how to take them all out?  And when will he come back, cause I just know he's not dead and even if he is, it won't be for long.  You don't just kill off the #2 hero and leave him gone for long.  So will see where this will go.

I'm starting to expand my superhero interest.  Usually I'm just for Superman and Batman stories.  But I'm taking an interest in the Green Lanterns and the Flashes.  Might take up Teen Titans again since Static is on the roster now.  I really want to cosplay him some day.

So NekoCon is coming up.  Me and my friends were planning to try Naruto this year...but don't know if it's going to happen. 

We want to do Kakashi, Iruka, and Chunnin exam Sasuke.  I already have one vest and the Sasuke uniform...it's just trying to get another MATCHING vest. 
Yeah, there are plenty of vests out there.  But I need an official one.  Which is what I already have.  Tried ebay and Toys n Joys, what I received was completely different from the pictures they posted.  I'm sending the Toys n Joys one back and getting a refund. 

I'll just have to see if they have one in the dealers room, and do Naruto on the second day. But we'll see. 

Next year I'm going to try to do Static Shock.

So Disney and Bandai are bringing back the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.  Disney will be reairing the re-mastered series starting in January, which could be very bad. 

Since apparently as we get more modern, kids become more dumb.  So I expect the episodes to be completely chopped up.  Which will suck cause the originals have some great fight scenes.  And let's face it the storylines are beyond cheesy.  So if they cut up all the violence, we will be left with a pretty bad show. 

But that's okay as long as they release original uncut dvd boxsets. 

But what I'm really excited about is Bandai doing the toyline.  And I mean they are seriously updating the figures. 

Kim has the body of a girl!!!  And the articulation on them!!!  I can't wait!!!

So as you all know, I'm going back through a comic book phase, particulary Superman and Batman.  Been buying comics, catching up, reading Clark/Bruck slash...

So tonight I was like why don't I watch some Lois and Clark episodes.  I have all the boxsets, just never really watched them(same with Smallville). 

So I'm watching the first episode, and I'm just floored with how awesome it is.  I mean really, for a pilot episode, chemistry, humor, action.  All of it was there and just so perfect. 

I remember when this came out, I would watch it everyday.  Plus I had a huge crush on Dean Cain.  So when the boxsets came out I snatched them all up. 

But the reason I think I like this series over all the other Superman series out there is...it focused on Clark and Lois...you know...them just interacting every day.  All the Superman stuff was like an afterthought. 

Don't get me wrong, I love Christopher Reeve, Tom Welling, and even Brandon Routh.  But Chris and Brandon's clark kent was the disguise and superman was who they really were.  Tom's clark is just the journey, with what I think is too much drama.  But Dean's clark is who he is and superman is the disguise.  Like what Clark says in the show.  "Clark Kent is who I am, Superman is what I can do" 

I guess that's my draw to the show.  Plus Dean and Teri have such great chemistry.  The show was just well made.  And the only time when I'm reminded of the time it was made is when they whip out those brick size cell phones.  XD


So I'm going to be rewatching the episodes, it's like CSI mixed with Superman or something.

Okay, so I haven't been in the Smallville world since season 3...now they are on 9... 0_o

Just watched the episode with Metallo in it...well the last 20 mins.   I am so lost.  I have a lot to catch up on, and I don't know if I can handle Lana with Lex and on again off again with Clark for that long. 

Anyway from this episode, apparently Clark discarded his human identity, and is just being "the Blur"...huh?

But he now has feeling for Lois and comes back to the Daily Planet.  So as soon as he sits at his desk and starts interacting with Lois, I get a huge flash of Dean Cain as Clark...and I'm all like whoa. 

Like I said I haven't watched in a while maybe it's just that scene, but Tom Welling reminde me of Dean just then...and that is just awesome. 

All of this is DC's fault.  If they hadn't released that Batman/Superman movie "Public Enemies"  I wouldn't have picked my comics back up.  Now I'm sucked back into the Superman and Batman fandoms.

I'm so running out of time...

I don't know what I want to draw for Atobe and Tezuka's b-days....ugh.  I already know what I'm going to do for Halloween, but their individual b-days....

I'm really getting annoyed with people calling me weird and a kid. 

Ever since Jr. high I've noticed differences in what my peers where doing and what I was doing.  They were all about opposite sex , partying...I guess normal stuff teenagers like.  Me...I was still into toys and cartoons, course I've had crushes too, but not many.

When everyone else was exploring "freedom", I always chose to stay home.  While they were wasting their parents money in college, I chose to join the Air Force. 

I don't drink, smoke, or cuss, I go out of my way to not lie.  I don't care to be around people who do those things.  Which has got me the label Anti-Social...I don't see how still having morals is anti-social.  It's really annoying. 

And the Anime and Manga thing...it's not like I talk about this stuff all the time.  I actually don't.  Yet I get called Weird and a Kid...

I'm not going to change myself to fit in.  If I have to be alone the rest of my life than so be it....cause it seems unlikely I will find a guy like me.  I guess my standards are too high, but I refuse to budge.

so i had a great time at home, spending time with my parents and seeing old friends.  i ended up going through old albums posting pictures on my facebook.  embarrasing a lot of people.  *snickers* 

so still in my power rangers phase, i have a big collection growing. my drago morpher came not too long ago.  i want to try to get all the morphers...i know a tough pheat and expensive one too.  but i already got the first one, which usually runs up to 100 bucks and i got it in a 30 buck lot.  so that's out of the way.  right know i really want the astro morpher from in space...

on the japanese side, i really want the kamen rider kiva belt too.

oh and while i was home, my aunt sharon figured out how the web camera on my new laptop works...i must say i love it so much.  i took it to the gym and recorded myself doing my tenimyu dances.   so awesome.

so i did end up buying the last two backstreet boys cd's.  i like them...it's just...*sigh*i do not like nick carter.  think he's annoying and his voice is irrating.  i'd probably like the music more if i couldn't hear him over everyone.  his voice is that distinct....gah.

anyways, so last night i was on the computer in bed with my tv on mute.  i look up and see batman and superman in a commercial.  i thought it was some new  justice league series.  then i'm like huh that looks familar.  i turn on the sound and find out it's a movie for the batman/superman comic, the first arc public enemies....i'm all like....guh. 

so i started looking it up online...and then come to find out that superboy(conner kent) is alive again and is the main character and the new action comics...nother guh...so guess what i'm back into now....

So I was looking through some old tapes.  Found one labeled Backstreet Boys, popped it in.  It was a bunch of videos and concerts I had taped years ago(first one was from All That).   And realized I still remember the words to almost every song, and the dance moves too!!!

Guess what?

I'm back into them now.  And just found out those guys are still together minus Kevin.  And still making music!!!  They have another album coming out next month.  Think it's their 8th one. o_0

I always like them more than Nsync.  Mainly cause each guy got to sing a verse, and they just sounded better to me.  I used to be obsessed with them.  Looks like it's about to happen again.  And Brian Littrel is still just as hot as ever(was my favorite).

So now I'm going to go find the cd's I missed when I fell out of the fandom, Hastings should have them. 

So yeah, just like Power Rangers, sucked back in.

Man, Im finally on leave for two weeks.  Can't wait to get back to Arkansas.  Last night really dragged on and my mood just kept getting worse.  So glad it's over. I really need this break from Virginia and the Air Force.  Just looking forward to hanging out with my family and old friends.  Too bad I can't bring Kime.  I'm sure she'll be fine in the Animal Inn though.

So Jason David Frank is going to join the whole MMA/UFC thing.  I really hope he does well. 

Cause a lot of people are talking smack just because he used to be a power ranger. 

SO WHAT!!!  He's still a 6th degree black belt, with several Karate schools, and a ton of competetions under him. 

They see him as a has been actor, trying to get back in the spotlight...uhh no.  He doesn't have to be back in the spotlight, he knows where his fans are, that's why he goes to conventions.  He just doing something he wants to do, for his fans and himself.

I don't understand why people can be so narrow minded.  They pick one thing and hold on, without looking at the whole package. Just like with Michael Jackson.  They ignore all the good he's done and hold on to accusations that were never proven.  That just pisses me off so much.

Ah, this turned into a rant.  I just hate it when people are so quick to respond without thinking it through first.

Started watching Power Rangers Operation Overdrive last night(12 episodes straight)...and I must say I like it a lot.  Unlike the originals(which I still love), I can watch this without cringeing too much.  Maybe cause it's updated.  But Overdrive really over use the explosions to the extreme.  I think there is about 6 blast each episode.  And there are so many villians.  I up to episode 15 and there are 3 different groups of villians.  Crazy.  My favorites on the show are actually not rangers.  Spencer the butler, and Norg the henchmen.  These two get some of the best one-liners.  They always crack me up.

Guess after I finish this series, I'll go back and watch their panels from Power Morphicon.

Before I had started watching, I went on fanfiction.net and looked up some AtoxTez fiction.  There was a new one, but I feel the plot has been done too much.  Tezuka cheating on Atobe with Echizen, supposedly. 

But that's about it for other fandoms for me.  Power Rangers really is too strong. 

I do go home back to Fort Smith this Saturday...so can't wait.  I'll be home for 2 weeks!!!  Really need this break.
